Designed specifically for physician assistants, a DMSc degree will build on your professional experience and provide a vital credential you need to step into leadership roles, advance your career, and make a greater impact on improving patient outcomes. Our curriculum is designed for the working PA and can be completed within two years through 100% online courses to help you balance school, work, and life.
Our core curriculum is taken in 34 credit hours with concentrations in Health Professional Education or Health Professions Administration. You will gain an understanding of medical knowledge and research while advancing your personal and professional leadership skills. Application Requirements
Applicants to the DMSc program must be physician assistants who have successfully graduated from an entry-level PA program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on the Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or be a recent graduate of an accredited PA program who expects to obtain licensure and/or certification within one year.
An updated, comprehensive curriculum vita or resume outlining personal, educational, and professional achievements, and a maximum 250-word essay describing the goals for enrolling in the DMSc degree program, will also be required in the online application.
Financial Aid
We want your education to be accessible to you, so we offer financial aid to assist with the cost of change to higher education. We encourage all students to submit the FAFSA to be eligible for federal student loans. Our Office of Student Financial Planning can help guide you through the complicated financial aid process.
